- It never picks a word. It keeps every word that still fits what is on the board, and when you guess a letter it quietly keeps whichever group of words suits it best. The word is only pinned down when there is one left, or when your lives run out and it finally has to commit.
- It cheats without ever lying. Every board it shows you is one some real word could have produced, and the word at the end always matched every single thing it told you. That is what makes it so infuriating.
- You choose how mean it is. Fair, Sneaky or Evil. Fair plays close to ordinary hangman — but it is still not being entirely honest with you.
- You guess in turns and share the lives. So a bad letter is everybody's problem, and everybody groans at once.
